Post-hardcore act, InDirections, recently released their new album, Clockworks, on InVogue Records. Their lead off video for the title track pulls listeners in. “Surface” breaks away from the formula of the genre, as does “Reflection,” which is much heavier than other tracks. “Breathless” is a bit confused because it crams too many ideas into one song. “Throne” works much better, and is by far the most emotional song on the record. “Illumination” roars and thrashes with heft and feeling. On “Sleepless” the clean vocalist, Landis Daniels, is featured and his true talent is on display. Overall, the band won’t have any trouble finding their niche in the scene.
